ANDALUSIA 8 DAY TOUR
You will enjoy the historic Moorish cities of Sevilla, Granada and Cordoba, see the Mediterranean from the unique viewpoints of the Cabo de Gata Natural Park and ride through stunning “pueblos blancos”, the white hillside villages that Andalucia is famous for. It is a biker´s heaven. The fabulous roads, the history, the outstanding food: and those are just a few of the highlights of this tour.
Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Malaga – tour briefing and group dinner
Tour briefing and group dinner. We will collect you at the airport or train station and take you to the group hotel, where you can relax until our evening briefing. After an introduction to your fellow riders and chatting through bikes and organizational details, we will head out for a delicious Spanish meal to finish off the day.
Day 2 Malaga – Capileira (Highlights: Montes de Malaga, Colmenar, Sierra de Tejeda)
We head north through the Montes de Malaga then veer eastwards via some spectacular twisties in the Sierra de Tejeda towards our destination in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, Capileira. 3h47 / 198 km
Day 3 Capileira – San José (Highlights: Sierra Nevada, Cabo de Gata Natural Park, seaside!)
Contouring the southern edge of the Sierra Nevada in an easterly direction, we head towards the very unique Parque Natural Cabo de Gata and the pretty seaside town of San José. After some lunch, we’ll take to the dirt and make our way to the beach made famous by Indiana Jones Junior and Senior, la Playa de Monsul. 2h58/171km.
Day 4 San José – Granada (Highlights: Tabernas, Sierra Nevada, Granada)
A day for heading back inland, visiting the “Spaghetti western” town of Tabernas as we head up through the Sierra Nevada and las Alpujarras to overnight in Granada, home of Andalusia’s most visited site, the Alhambra Palace. 3h44 / 230 km
Day 5 Granada – Sevilla (Highlights: Sierra de Hornachuelos and Sierra Norte)
For Granada to Sevilla, there’s a “high road” and a “low road”, so depending on how we’re all feeling today, we’ll collectively choose one or other of these options. We can stretch out the journey a little by heading further north into some of Andalucia’s lesser-known treasures, the Sierra de Hornachuelos and the Sierra del Norte. Either way, there’ll be plenty of time to get to know Andalucia’s capital Seville. 4h18 / 314 km
Day 6 Sevilla – Ronda (Highlights: Parque Natural de los Alcornocales, Sierra de Grazalema)
As crow flies, Seville to Ronda is just 100 km. But your guide today will take you some of the prettiest mountain terrain that Spain has to offer, including a selection of “pueblos blancos”, the white hillside villages that Andalucia is famous for. 3h25 / 203 km
Day 7 Ronda – Malaga (Highlights: Grazalema, Zahara de la Sierra, El Burgo, Ardales)
A final day that will make you want to come back! The Sierra de Grazalema, with its Griffon vultures soaring overhead, and views reminiscent of the Canadian Rockies as you head back to Malaga via El Burgo and Ardales. 3h39 / 181 km
